'TOM P'S HUSTLE' - ARTICLE IN NEWSPAPER - CREATIVE LOAFING
January 01, 2020
"When Decatur-based MC Tom P refers to his "little gang of misfits," he's actually talking about the sprawling network of friends and followers that often top out at 1,000 attendees for his homegrown show. Such an undeniable fan base helped him attract enough attention to book Atlanta MC and Grand Hustle signee Bobby Ray, aka B.O.B., to headline his upcoming show."

BeATLanta REVIEW OF TOM P
January 01, 2020
"I fucking dig Tom P…he fits my style and he’ll probably fit yours too. I think a good rapper is a master of language and words; a master of vocabulary, both intellectual and street. I think an even better rapper is a master not only of words and language, but of syllables and alliteration. Tom P has all of those things. His flow is hard to match and unique, switching between really fast, syllable focused alliteration and an old school flow with a concentration on rhyming words. His demeanor is flawless."

SURVIVING THE GOLDEN AGE - REVIEW OF TOM P
January 01, 2020
"Overall, Tom P seems to be poised to be the next big thing out of the ATL. His fresh style and wry wit make him seem like he should be signed to Def Jux or something. The critics who rally against him may have some leg to stand on but not enough to shut Tom P down. I look forward to his future releases."

CRIB NOTES - TOM P ATL NIGHTMARE FT. JARREN BENTON

CRIB NOTES - TOM P ATL NIGHTMARE FT. JARREN BENTON
"Tom P and Jarren Benton apparently want us to lose sleep. Or maybe they're both just huge fans of "The Walking Dead." Either way, this visual for Tom P's track "Nightmare," featuring the aforementioned Benton, is what I imagine would happen if a zombie apocalypse broke out in the middle of a house party. Tom P directed this vid which centers around a wannabe rapper (played by his manager Kevin Grimes) who is having some bad, bad dreams."
DJBOOTH - ATL Nightmare ft. Jarren Benton
January 01, 2020
Last night, I had an awesome f**king dream: I was in the studio with Booth favesTom P and Jarren Benton, who were recording an collaborative banger of epic proportions. So imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and found that very record in my inbox. Ironically titled Nightmare, this single is every bit as action-packed as you’d expect from the Georgia representatives. The headliner’s own production, an abrasive mix of piano loops, pummeling percussion and orchestral flourishes, accompanies some of the most blistering triple-time flows I’ve encountered in a hot minute. For this cut and much more, check out The Preachers Kid, available now via Tom’s official site. Fans can also click here to peep this record’s official visual accompaniment.

DJBOOTH - Underdog Rises
January 01, 2020
Fresh off re-releasing his critically-acclaimed Root for the Underdog tape, Tom Preturns with the first promo single off his next street release. On Underdog Rises, beatsmith Blue‘s lumbering brass boardwork sets the stage for braggadocious, hyperkinetically-floweed bars from the Ga. representative (and freestyle series alumnus). Like what you’re hearing? Keep it locked for the latest on Tom’s forthcoming street album, which has yet to receive either a title or a solid drop date. Additionally, fans can click here to check out the artist’s recent interview with XXL: The Breaks.
WORDSMITH BLOG WRITES GREAT REVIEW ON TOM P
January 01, 2020
"go check out another son of Decatur, GA, Tom P. Tom P dropped his first underground release last summer, but in that short time he has become touring brothers with Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs N' Harmony; and was recently voted Atlanta's second best local rapper. Tom P brings whip fast delivery over that classic boom bap sound, and matched with an incredible work ethic it is likely that he will be one of the new sounds of the South. Try to keep up y'all."
DJBOOTH - TOM P and NAPPY ROOTS - DRUNK GIRLS
January 01, 2020
Once a regular visitor, Tom P hasn’t been glimpsed in the Booth since October 2010, when he dropped entry #206 in our exclusive freestyle series (Though he did find time to rock the DJBooth.net Stage at July’s Atlanta Indie Fest). So, what could possibly be engrossing enough to keep the ATLien buzzmaker away from our pages for nearly a year? Actually, he has downright fantastic excuse: he’s been kicking it with Nappy Roots and Aleon Craft, buying shots for all the Drunk Girls at the local spot. On the inaugural leak off his forthcoming street album, the emcee fills us in on just how skilled A-Town females are at tying one on, sharing the juicy details over Justin Padron‘s airy synth-strings, head-nodding percussion and electric-guitar accents. Nappy Roots echo the headliner’s praise of slizzard females on the middle (With a few notable reservations: “The way she drink be dangerous and deadly, casket not too far.”), and Aleon brings the record to a strong finish, describing his own girl’s highfalutin drinking habits on the back. Thirsty for another round? Details on Tom’s next mixtape have yet to be determined, but you can keep it locked you-know-where for the latest details!
MUSICXRAY - TOM P ROOT FOR THE UNDERDOG
January 01, 2020
Tom P; one of the most successful underground indie hip hop artist in Atlanta drops his 2nd solo album "Root For The Underdog." Tom P is known for his quick delivery, witty and humorous lyrics, and technical skills on the microphone. Tom P breaks down all stereotypes of a "white rapper" as his music challenges the status quo of what that even means. Coming off as what might be misconstrued as a "frat boy" look, Tom P is often dismissed as a suburbanite white wannabe, when in fact he has earned more then enough street cred; Born in a trailer park and then growing up in the inner city of Atlanta, beginning rapping when he was 12 years old. His lyrics tend to attack white (and black) rappers who grow up privileged but feel the need to "dress like they from where {he} actually stays." He has not only headlined over 100 shows in Atlanta and across the South East but also has also toured with/ and opened for famous acts such as Bone Thugs N Harmony, B.O.B, Three 6 Mafia, Gorilla Zoe, Killer Mike, Goodie Mob, Yelawolf, and more..
